Many community coalitions, law enforcement agencies, governmental departments, businesses and schools promote strategies to address the causes of highway safety crashes, injuries and deaths on GeorgiaRoadways. These strategies may include distribution of information and education materials, development of safety clinics and initiation of public and private partnership.

As the lead state agency for highway safety awareness, the GOHS maintains extensive outreach partnerships with community coalitions, law enforcement agencies, governmental departments, businesses and schools throughout the state. The GOHS maintains a staff of dedicated highway safety advocates who are well trained, knowledgeable of highway safety issues, and able to engage the public in innovative roadway safety activities.
